Hatha Yoga, Slow Flow, Foundation Yoga, Restorative
Barbara was a student of traditional yoga from the young age of eight. With her family, she learned the benefits of silence, meditation and breathing. As a teenager, she did not want to be the “different” child in her circle of friends so she turned to light versions of various sports and dance, wanting to stay fit and active. As an adult, she longed for her childhood spirituality that brought her into One-ness with the Divine. While living a full life of raising her family, and a full time career in the banking industry, she managed to study with a spiritual group to get back to her roots. After a terrible car accident, she followed the advice of her physical therapist, and began a regular asana yoga practice for healing. Through many life changes, she moved to California with her job, and while there, decided she wanted to give the gift of the full yoga path to others. Through careful searching for a program that resonated with her yoga style, she became yoga teacher certified. Her love of teaching is to make those who feel they cannot practice yoga, because they “aren’t strong or flexible enough”, learn that yoga is for everybody and everybody benefits!
Regardless of the level of student, Barbara is certified to teach all levels; from a “firey” practice to a gentle flow.
